HBCU Honors Honoree Dr. Lonnie Johnson

Dr. Lonnie G. Johnson

Dr. Lonnie Johnson holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a M.S. in Nuclear Engineering from Tuskegee University. He is a former Air Force Officer and is a 2022 inductee of the National Inventor’s Hall of Fame with over 140 patents.

Jewel Burks Solomon

Jewel Burks Solomon is a Howard University graduate, tech entrepreneur and venture capitalist working as the first head of Google for Startups in the U.S. She is managing partner of the investment firm, Collab Capital, focusing on Black entrepreneurship.

HBCU Honors Honoree Will Packer

Will Packer

Will Packer graduated from Florida A&M University, magna cum laude. He founded Will Packer Productions, and Will Packer Media. Packer has produced or executive produced a wide range of movies that have grossed more than $1 billion worldwide at the box office, including 10 films that have opened at number one.
