Kym Whitley will host ceremony celebrating alumni of HBCU institutions, to air Dec. 1 on BET.
Producer Will Packer, singer-actor Fantasia Barrino and gospel superstar Hezekiah Walker are among the notables who will be celebrated at the 2nd annual HBCU Honors, which recognize prominent alumni of HBCU institutions.

BET is set to air the 2nd annual HBCU Honors next month. The ceremony will celebrate prominent HBCU alumni. Will Packer, Fantasia Burrino, and Hezekiah Walker will be honored. Comedian and Fisk University alum Kim Whitley will be the host. Howard University will host the ceremony on November 14 in the Cramton Auditorium.
The 2024 HBCU Honors, presented by Procter and Gamble is set to electrify Howard University’s Iconic Cramton Auditorium. Celebrating Black Excellence, HBCU Honors will debut on BET on Sunday, December 1, at 8 p.m. ET.
The inaugural HBCU Honors™ lauds eight extraordinary alumni from historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) whose ground-breaking achievements have helped change the world. The all-star night of Black excellence included tributes, awards presentations, musical performances and special guests Oprah Winfrey, Reverend Al Sharpton, and Tyler Perry’s House of Payne star Cassie Davis.
